Its good for a first timer. I see it was made in MyScriptFont.com Did you scan the template into gimp and go from there? I think you may have gone over the cap height lines, and the width guidelines. I see that a lot with MyScriptFont.com notice how a couple of the letters are cut off? Just try next time to stay in those lines if you chose to use the template. Later on, you should look into fontcreator or font forge? I believe its free... not to sure on the name. I think @wolflambert uses it sometimes. He may be able to help you. I use fontcreator. Keep working at it, as you will only improve the more you make fonts!!!
@ByTheButterfly Actually he uses Fontstruct and Type 3.2. There's a brief tutorial on MSF at http://sites.google.com/site/totalfontgeek/font-editors/myscriptfont ---no spam intended.
